Ep. 17: Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, and Top 5 Who Belong in WWE Hall of Fame

Published

on

Joe and Tim jam-packed a bunch of topics in today’s show.

Shawn Michaels admitted to Sky Sports that he might consider one last match if it fits. Joe and Tim can only think of two guys who’d fit that bill.

CM Punk and Colt Cabana were found not guilty in their court case with WWE Dr. Chris Amann. Punk has his UFC fight this weekend, but the guys ponder whether he’ll return to pro wrestling. (All In does take place in Chicago, after all….)

WWE’s performed another raid of the indies, signing former Pro Wrestling Guerilla champion Keith Lee, former Impact/Ring of Honor/Stardom competitor Deonna Purrazzo, and UK rising star and former Progress women’s champ Jinny. The guys talk about how they’ll fit into the NXT/development scene, which is getting a bit crowded.

Tim and Joe couldn’t recap WWE’s Money In The Bank and NXT TakeOver: Chicago II alone, so they brought in fantasy sports powerhouse Jake Ciely to help recap the big events.

They chat about the ladder matches (and winners Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman), Ronda Rousey-Nia Jax, Ricochet-Velveteen Dream, Johnny Gargano-Tomasso Ciampa, A.J. Styles-Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka-Carmella and the rest of the action from the weekend!

Plus, we have yet ANOTHER Roman Reigns discussion. Hint: Sometimes, the crowd ruins things….

Jake isn’t impressed much by anything but thankfully found some things to enjoy.
