1) Scott Kingrey 2B

Kingrey like Chavis was one of the more eye popping breakthroughs of 2017. He posted a 25/25+ season across two levels while hitting .300. He’s always had a plus hitters approach, which saw the power come into play. His speed is legit, and has a real chance to stick around the 20 mark if teams let him continue running. He may be due for some regression this season in the minors, or find himself taking a tad longer to adjust. He had a 50% fly ball % and a tad over inflated BABIP which may have been pronounced by hitting in the minors. I’m looking more in the 15-20 HR range, with 20 SB and a .270 – .280 AVG. Anything above is gravy. He’s a top 30 prospect this year.

2) Sixto Sanchez SP

Sanchez was one of my favorites from 2016. He walked into 2017 continue his success of control his mid 90’s FB to maintain a low ERA, albeit lower SKO numbers. His curve and change are big compliments to his money FB. He’s not the biggest guy standing 6’0, but it’s not going to stop him from pushing to possibly be a SP2 for the Phillies in the future. I believe he’s a top 10 fantasy SP prospect, and one of the very worthy top pitchers to take inside the top 50.

3) JP Crawford SS

The “power is the last tool to develop” montra keeps me positive about Crawford. His AVG issues are concerning as well, but his ability to maintain a high walk rate and low SKO% give me hope a few adjustments here and there are going to turn Crawford back into the top SS prospect that he was. He’s already slated for a full-time start role this year. He showed some developed power in the minors before his call-up, so he might end up being this odd under 24 year old post hype sleeper.

4) Adam Haseley OF

I’ve gone back and forth on the level of love I have for Haseley. He’s a double’s hitter in the vein of Dustin Fowler, who has the potential to hit for 20 ish HR power if it all clicks and maybe steal a handful of bases. He has this inside double clutch thing he does with his wrists when hitting, which I don’t like, and believe it may mute some power, but I’m hopeful coaches get him out of it. Otherwise he’s a pretty strong bodied kid who had a strong debut and will hopefully have a small breakout in 2018. He is inside my top 100 fantasy prospects.

5) Jhaliyn Ortiz OF

Ortiz did everything I believe Phillies asked and wanted out of him in 2017. He hit for power (in a small sample size), hit for over .300, had a OBP over .400 and limited his SKO’s in a manageable range for a then 18-year old. Ortiz is going to be a big power hitter. Safe me says think 30 HR’s, crazy me says look at 40 in the future. AVG like many power bats is the key. If AVG is an issue, I wonder if he goes the way of new Phillie Carlos Santana. Low AVG with solid power and a high OBP. What I love about Ortiz is he doesn’t have the name branding going into this year, and if you think of it in a ROI perspective, may be near the top of return on investment.

6) Jorge Alfaro C

7) Mickey Moniak OF

8) Adonis Medina SP

9) Cornelius Randolph OF

10) Dylan Cozens OF
