1) Victor Robles OF
Robles was one of the more polished prospects I saw in ‘17. The only thing that didn’t go his way during last season was a major power output, yet he still went double digits. When he arrived in the fall league, he instantly was the leader. I was impressed with his bat speed, and his real speed as he flew around the bases. Robles body seem to mature, and has the making of a guy that could go 20/30 while hitting .300 in the majors. Don’t bet against Robles. I have him as a no brainer top 10 prospect.

2) Juan Soto OF
There is still a lot we need to see from Soto. He’s had two season’s of small sample sizes, though they have been dominate ones. He has plate coverage that I love, quick hands and fantastic bat speed that I think can generate real power. The hit tool is his bread and butter, and this makes him a prime target of mine. He hasn’t shown off a lot of SB speed, and I’m not sure that ever really comes. Maybe it trends to the 7-10 range. He’s patient enough to work with a high OBP, and I think Soto has the chance to be special, but this first full season of 400 or more at-bats is critical. I am very aggressive and have him higher than most. Own him!
3) Carter Kieboom SS
Kieboom is the third head of the Nationals trio of uber talents. Kieboom has all the offensive tool sets to be a plus offensive player wherever he ends up. I get a Alex Bregman vibe from Kieboom offensively. It’s not meant to be a total comp, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the output mirrored each other. Like Soto, I’m patiently waiting for this year and a full go of it with 400 plus at-bats. Any struggle wouldn’t be the be all end all, but developmentally we are basis a lot off of short sample sizes. He’s a not doubter top 50 prospect. I say that conservatively as I have him higher.
4) Daniel Johnson OF
Johnson was a force last year, putting up our searched after 20/20 season. He moved through full season a-ball to advanced-a followed by a trip to the AZL. I was able to catch him multiple times. He didn’t thrive in his limited playing time, but it was interesting in BP, where he displayed a competitive knack for hitting HR. One BP some of the guys were doing a little HR contest and Johnson just came up short as he rocketed balls to right field. He is still raw, chases some advanced pitching, but the power/speed combo we have to take serious. I have serious questions about his ability to make contact in the future, but if he keeps progressing he’d be an asset many will want to own. Not top 100, but not too far after.

5) Seth Romero SP
Romero is tough to judge. He’s got three plus offerings, with arguably one of the best sliders in last years draft class, and a SKO machine. He’s got some red flags that hover over him though. The main one was getting kicked off his college team, right after serving a suspension, both of which for conduct detrimental to his team. There were also some body concerns, which he seemed to get under control. His first full season was pretty successful, but short as he SKO 35 batters in 22 innings. I think you’re going to see a lot of Romero this year, and he might get hyped up to the level of a Jesus Luzardo. I wouldn’t call him a target, but I wouldn’t be shocked if I owned some shares as people pass on him.
6) Yasel Antuna SS
7) Erick Fedde SP/RP
8) Luis Garcia SS
9) Blake Perkins OF
10) Will Crowe SP
